Mixing and Mastering Essentials
Most bedroom producers skip proper mixing because they think expensive gear will fix everything later. It won't. This course focuses on what you can achieve with basic tools and trained ears.
You'll work with real multitracks from different genres, learning to balance levels, apply EQ without making things worse, and use compression that actually serves the music. We cover parallel processing, stereo imaging, and the automation techniques that separate amateur mixes from professional ones.
What Makes This Different
Instead of memorizing plugin settings, you'll develop listening skills that work regardless of your DAW or plugin collection. We use reference tracks extensively and teach you to identify problems before reaching for solutions.
The mastering section covers loudness standards for streaming platforms, mid-side processing, and the multi-band techniques needed for cohesive album projects. You'll understand why mastering engineers make the choices they do and when to hire one versus doing it yourself.
